So, I am nervous right now. As a lot of you know, I have already finished my Masters of Fine Arts degree in Photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) and now I have been able to start putting in serious applications to jobs.
On the 22nd of November, I put in an application to a university back east, and in two weeks or so of time, they contacted me back and basically offered me the job. There was no interview process or anything, but the head of the department contacted me and asked me two questions, but said that I already had the job and that the hiring process for me has already begun, she just needed my updated transcript to send to HR. This was on Sunday actually.
I sent everything to her, and then asked yesterday if there was any update and she simply stated that she has started the hiring process but it has now moved to the HR department and now it is out of her hands and only time will see if they will add me to their faculty list for this Spring like she would like or it might be too late and I would have to join the faculty in the fall.
It is crazy to think that I have not even been graduated for a month and I already possibly have my first job offering.
I don't want to go into much more detail as of yet, because of superstitions, but I will let you all know more as I get more info.
