Well...the fun thing is that I've actually been doing some other things besides the "P" word recently. Outside of writing for the website, I have started to do my short stories again, as well as started to shop around my screen play to several people, one of which paid me the best compliment in the world by saying this:
"I am really sorry Chris, but I just haven't gotten a chance to finish reading it yet. And to be brutally frank, I'm not sure I will. Please understand, it's not an opinion on your writing. It's a personal history issue... the proverbial love of my life was sexually assaulted years ago, and the emotional scars from that caused her to leave me (transference). We're dear friends again now, years later after much therapy, but she's also now married to a great guy who's like my brother. Let's just say it's awkward, but we have managed to make the best of the nightmare. Reading your script is obviously different from what we went through, but it brings up all sorts of really horrible feelings that I just can't deal with right now, and really don't want to ever again. So I guess, in that regard, your writing is really effective. That's about all I can say about it. Sorry. I know you were hoping for more."
(direct email quote)
So I guess with that in mind, it is a good screenplay if people can get those emotions by just words on a page from someone who doesn't know the situation and yeah...so it is awesome.
So...let's see what else...OH...yes. I'm working on more music. I've already done my seventh song on my CD. Some different House, Dub, Drum and Base...all on one CD. And I have someone who is looking at going through and spin some tracks off of it too! I'm excited.
