well shit...I've been a bad boy and not updated this thing in a while, so why not do it now while I have some time since I am NOT going to study for my last two finals. They are going to be TOO easy, but in that case, I might as well study for them tomorrow and thursday, since my next final isn't until Weds. anyways.
So I postponed my surgery, now it will be sometime in Jan. I thought it would be the best because I am still trying to find insurance and the damn people needed a $500 deposit for the surgery if I didn't have the insurance...and yeah, I don't have that $500s. It sucks. But I'll get it worked out.
Work is fucked up. I think my manager needs to lay off the drugs, hard core. She fired me last Monday, but today I still work? I called her today, playing dumb and asked her when I worked today (even though I knew the time that I was scheduled for) and she told me the same schedule. I even went in there on Friday to pick up my pay check and there where no term. papers for me to sign...maybe she was fucked up when she was in there last Monday...who knows. All I know is that I have a two hour shift that I had to stick around for when my final got out today at 11, and I don't go to work until 6pm tonight. Fuck that.
But as far as school is concerned...it was a fantastic semester. I will come out with the final grades of either 1 A, 2Bs and a C, or 1 A, 3 Bs or 4 Bs or 3 Bs and a C. The reason behind this is because I am right on the cusp in my English class between an A and a B, and it is going to depend on my final and if is going to grade on a curve (like he said that he most likely will do) then I have a A...but if the grade stands with just my final, then I'll have something close to an 88 or 89% in that class, giving me a B. The same goes for my Western Civ. class. If I wouldn't have fucked around like i did, then I would have had a B. But I failed to turn in some of the response questions to some of the 13 books we had to read (yes 13 books in 13 weeks, some of them included the Illad, The Holy Bible, The Republic, Early Christian Lives, The Lives of Artist, The Prince, The Golden Ass, and for those of you who know those books, they are not fun)...but as long as I get a C in the class I guess I'll be okay.
I'm still waiting to hear if I'm accepted into the Kansas City Art Institute or not. I won't know until they get my transcript and are able to evaluate my grades and see if my GPA is now high enough. Just in case, I enrolled in classes for next semester at JCCC, three art history classes and Western Civ. 2. I figured that if all else fails, I can take the next course up and get a better grade in that.
Well, I've typed about as much as I'm going to for now. I've gotta go pick up Josh and Zoe from their school here in about 15 minutes or so and I've still not had anything to eat today. I might pick up something at work and take it home.
OH...oh oh oh oh...Before I forget...for those people who are living in the Lawrence/KC Metro area, during break (I don't know when yet but I'll post a date soon) my best friend Paul and I are having a wine and foreign film night, will be watching shit like Run Lola Run and The Pianist, if anyone wants to come, please let me know...everyone is more than welcome to come by, just bring some wine and maybe some snacks.
