If you are having difficulty meeting and associating with people, developing an intimate relationship and/or you think you might have social anxiety disorder, you might want to consider joining the group "Depression Outlet" and use the resources there. I usually check in there frequently and give out advice (not that I shouldn't be posting all of my personal problems as well :confused. There are medications that treat social anxiety disorder, although I do not know any off hand. I'm sure any general practitioner would know, though.

As far as dating goes, you might want to consider joining the "Dating Sucks" group. There may be other similar groups here as well. If you are looking to meet someone special on SG, you should really consider posting a photo of yourself, even if you have to edit it like I did to protect your anonymity. Of course, if you did meet someone here without a photo, you could always e-mail it to her as an attachment to give her a better feel of what you look like, but you might want to state this in your profile here to clarify that matter to a potential suitor. Also, you might want to consider Matchmaker.com, Match.com or Yahoo! Personals. The prior two can be expensive, depending upon the plan that you choose, but you can post a profile on Yahoo! Personals for free and subscriptions there cost less. All have free trial memberships, I believe.
