i'm going to school now and it makes me wonder why people bother to learn most of this stuff...
a lot of it is speculation or opinion, or the formation of a theory from one point of view... it's not based in TRUTH, if there is such a thing. what it seems to come down to is that people need something to occupy themselves with.
we don't have to fight for survival anymore, and so we concentrate on relatively meaningless tasks, things like data, which do not inherently have any value, but just exist. it's something to occupy ourselves with; data only has meaning because we believe it does.
how much use will that be when the apocalypse comes and we'll be clawing our way through ground covered in bloody limbs, hmmmmmm? how useful will communication theory be then?
of course, i'm already forsaken, so i'll just be burning in hell or whatever it is the kids do these days.

But you NEED schooling to get youse the GOOD jobs! I mean, look at me! I spent three years doing the school thing and now I have this....er....well...shit. I make squat doing a job that doesn't require any kind of degree because there are no jobs available right now... c_c
