i was going down the street to the computer lab and i saw the fuzz hassling a man sitting on the sidewalk. the cop said "i know michael, but find a bench!" yes, it's illegal to sit on the sidewalk, or on the planters, you must sit on a bench. frequently i'm downtown and i'll see the police talking to some homeless person just chillin on a bench, reaming him out for doing something completely harmless.
the dude is just sitting down. on the sidewalk yes, but out of the way, NEXT to another guy on the bench, quietly, not disturbing or harming anyone.
grrrr
i hate laws. and why is it that people who want to enforce them are always the biggest assholes to begin with? are laws for protecting the people, or harassing them?

That reminds me of a funny story...a few years ago I was hanging out with a couple of friends and we had just gotten some sodas from a gas station. Well we sit down on the curb of this bank's parking lot (which was RIGHT next to the gas station) just haning out, drinking soda...and the fucking bank called the cops. Apparently me and my tattooed, pierced friends were making the back tellers "nervous". Gimme a break...
