Tonight I feel all warm and plushy and nuzzly and snuggly and -- *cough*needy*cough* -- deserving of love.
It makes me feel better about the world, somehow, to know that David Letterman has Social Anxiety Disorder.
Is there truly any value in psychiatric counselling? Only if they can prescribe, I say.
*covets Xanax* But really, the doctor suggested I do that business, and I have and I've found it.... shall we say... lacking. To be awfully, awfully nice about it. But that was a long time ago, and I'm an utterly different woman. Sigh.
Is it worth it?

ha, i'm with you on the doctors! *hugs my Paxil & Welbutrin*. I know everyone hates counselors, but i actually didn't had a bad time with mine. at the least, since i have zero friends, it was a nice way for me to get stuff off my chest, and help give me a different perspective on things. But of course, everyone has different experiences with them. I'd say, if it's been a while, and you're feeling like meds alone aren't helping, give it a shot, and if you don't feel like it's doing any good, then stop if you want. Just my $.02
