So, it turns out that our financial status is worse than I thought, but I'm not going to bitch about it here.
I did a hell of a lot of yardwork yesterday - it was the perfect day to do it. Now if I can just get some mulch, wood, and a motherfreakin' shovel, I'll be able to get it looking really nice. Oh, and someone to take the nearly 5ft pile of bush/tree limbs. I'm looking forward to repainting the porch, but that seems further and further off with everytime we get ourselves into financial dire straights.
Yard looks good though. And I only gave myself a nasty blister in the process. Pretty fair trade in my book.
I have rent to pay tomorrow.... and I still haven't gotten my damn cable bill.
Found out from Jordan yesterday that he doesn't really care about marrying me. It just isn't important to him, but he understands that it is to me. Bah, I say.

Sorry; ... now about that money problem
Enroll in one or two courses at a local community college.
Go to a large bank and apply for a student line of credit with an unchanging interest rate. Use your job and your fiance's job as collateral.
You can get up to $10,000 worth of financial leverage with a low fixed interest rate. Even if you drop the courses, you can still abuse the credit line until your bank finds out about it and cuts off your spending. But that wouldn't matter if you withdrew the lump sum at the start and deposited it in another bank.
Provided you pay down the debt, it won't affect your credit rating; and the money can help support you while you get re-situated financially.
It's dirty business, but it's just an idea.
... once again... I apologize for the capitalist rhetoric... it's kinda my other half
