Happy Boxing Day!!!
I guess I should backtrack a minute. Christmas eve we do this dinner theing with some family friends of ours. It's a tradition. It usually starts around 5... I got off work at 7. Aw come on, they're Durex brand, I'm sure they're fine. It's not like they're some funky Thai no-name brand. Although, now that I think about it, you can buy knock-off EVERYTHING there . . . faux brand-name purses, clothes, shoes, etc, etc, etc. Maybe they're faux Durex!

lol @ 666Irish pimp.
I stole this from dmac because it is funny stuff. Look how skinny I got!!!!
We had our company Christmas party on Sunday. I was the only one of the 60+ people who attended that didn't drink. Even the 18yo drank. I just don't drink. Long side story. Anyway, guess who got pulled over on the way home... me. The short of the story is,...

Hope you had a good xmas!
Nothing great to add.
my loan might not make it in time for christmas which will make for small gifts for everyone... or delayed. I did send out one gift through Amazon to one lucky lady and they say it "should" arrive by Dec 22nd (aka friday before Christmas) but knowing my luck recently they will get it in April.

I'm sorry to hear you're so busy. Things will get better. And when they do, you should call me because it's been roughly 8 years since the last time we hung out.
Broken Pipe: fixed
People came to look at my house: no word yet
Went to Doctor about costant pain in legs: Gave me Tramadol (wtf is tramadol?)
Was told by a girl at work: "You must have a hard time getting girls because you look mean but you are really nice. Two bad qualities."
Equity loan for house: finally going through... but I have to...

Wish list? You mean to tell me you've got $2,800 just lying around to buy me a diamond tennis bracelet?
Sign me up, baby. I'm yours!

What a fucked up thing to say, that mean/nice comment. She's obviously a clueless bimbo!
The reunion was... interesting.
My brother put it correctly: most of these people strive to be average but we go for something unique. Everybody there had the same story. Generic job, generic wife/husband, generic house... esentially, a generic life. Which I guess is why I stood out so much. I told a couple of people what my plans were and word traveled fast. Once I...

Ha! It's actually a pen with a little crystal ball at the end and when you push this little button on it, the thing lights up like a disco ball. The same gizmo makes an appearance in the "smell something" picture but Alex has it stuffed inside her shirt.

I've been seasonally unemployed twice. I can also do it blindfolded. I appreciate the hint but I'm already down with that page.
It's just that I actually technically got "fired" this time so they're being assholes and doing interviews and blah blah blah.

Want to know what Saturday is... My 10 year high school reunion. *sigh* Not because I am getting older but for 2 other good reasons.
A) I have nothing to show for it. I feel as though I have accomplished nothing. Not married, no kids, no great job, no nice cars or huge house. Even...

Ten year reunions are only there to make you feel crappy and demoralized. It's practically a scientific fact. I actually WENT to my ten year reunion with my dirtbag husband at the time (who now, happily, is an EX) and I felt exactly like you. Done with college, but hadn't gotten my ass to grad school yet, had an okay job but not great, too much debt, no kids and not even a happy marriage to show for it. All the cheerleaders and football players STILL hang out in their coolish little cliques, all the so-called "geeks" were STILL relegated to the periphery of the room and there was nothing pleasant about it. It was like fuckin' prom night all over again.
That, and the $350 ticket cost for the weekend really sucked ass too. Skip the ten. Go to the twenty instead. Trust me on this one.
Oh! I almost forgot.....

I'm only

away from mobility
It's always
punch in punch out
go to work and go back home
there's only one chance left
and I know
and I know
where she is waiting

Are you getting all forlorn and mopey on me? None of that stuff, ya hear?
Come chat with me again on yahoo if you find some time. I've been hiding out there lately.

Saturday I rocked out to Sasquatch and the Sick-a-Billy's with notthellama. They were surprisingly amazing!!! I would tell you the stage antics but you need to see them live to appreciate it. I just wish I brought earplugs. I had to sit in the back the entire show because it was soo loud in such a small place.
After the show we went to...

Mmmmmmm, the rev. I saw him (them?) several years ago at a now defunct club here in town called La Luna. It rocked the socks off everyone there. (trips down memory lane....nice)
The audiologist in me says call up your local audy and get her to make some custom earplugs for those little moments in life when the shit's too loud. Your ears will thank you for it when you're my age.
(reaches for her cane and shuffles off to the retirement home --- *sigh*)
