let's see... what have ya'll missed...

We got a new girl at work. she is really cute but I think she is a switch-hitter. She is not (completely) out of my league so I may make an attempt at it. Ya'll know how great I am at that. whatever My good friend who got divorced in February just got engaged again. Makes me wonder what I am doing wrong.

On a happier note, I went apple pickin last week. I think I bought too many. I have made 2 pies and 2 cobblers and I am only half way through them. I think I may try making dumplings and fritters this weekend.

Speaking of this weekend, IT'S HALLOWEEN!!! The 31st I am going to dress up for work but I am having a hard time figuring out what to go as. In the past I have either done something really offensive or something goofy. Example: I have been Superman and rolled around in a wheelchair, I wore a business suit and a snorkel mask and went as JFK Jr., Wrapped a coat hanger around my head put red paint on my shirt and went as a failed abortion, or I have been goofy and dressed up like Shrek or wore a giant heart that says I"I have a heart on". The costume has to be non-restricting cause I have to wear it to work. Maybe I'll just wear the German lederhosen. That night Iam going to the Nine Inch Nails show . ROCK!!! On the 1st, is the actual Halloween party. Now I do have my costume for that which I have been preping for 2 months now. It is waaayyy to cumbersome to wear to work. But trust me, it is going to be awesome. Pictures to come.

Dude, you have lederhosen? :swoon: love I envy your trip to the NIN concert. ROCK indeed! As for me, I'll be under the knife at 8 a.m. on Halloween so I'll probably just go home from the surgi-center as the mummy. tongue I'll miss all the office festivities this year..... yeah, makes me so sad. NOT. surreal Here's a good costume for work -- one that I've used before. Go to your local dry cleaners and get one of those long plastic bags that they put over clothing and one of those hangers that has the paper rod across the bottom. Wear a nice dress shirt, cut the paper rod so the hanger fits sideways on your head, put the plastic over your head (making openings for your noggin and arms, of course) and go as dry cleaning. Cheap. Easy to work in. Clever. Works every time. But I can't WAIT to see this epic costume you've been working on for two months. Pictures are a moral imperative.

Dumplings and fritters and cobblers, oh my! Sounds like you're putting all those apples to excellent delicious use. biggrin Sounds pretty yummy, if you ask me.
