Well I had my blind date last Thursday and...
She wasn't blind. I figured I was done before I started. We met at this local bar with the mutual friends that set us up. Nothing like meeting at a bar when I don't drink. So, apparently her favorite band was playing. She described them as a mix of Sublime, Green Day and 311. If I like those bands I would love this band. I hate all 3 of those with a passion. She kind of avoided me at first (I think she needed to get drunk first) but then she warmed up. We hit it off pretty well. Our friends left early to leave us alone and we closed the place down. I knew it was raining outside so I was going to hatch my plan. Either A) offer to drive her home cause she had been drinking all night and maybe extend the night or B)Go for the romantic kiss in the rain. She said she was fine and would drive herself home so I went for plan B. It looked like it was straight out of a movie but she turned away at the end leaving me with a peck on her cheek. We then went our seperate ways. I have been in this situation before and I figured it was over. All I had to show for it was her myspace page. I "befriended" her on myspace and sent her a message on Friday to see if we could meet up today (Sunday) I left my number so she could call me. No call.
While I was typing this, she called. We are meeting up later in the week to hang out. Looks like things were not as bad as it seemed.
