Early dinner with my sister and her family. Then a five mile run, burping up pickle for 45 minutes. The things I do for my family...

So I'm on my bike and some guy drives by, and the passenger gives me the finger and yells, "queer," out the window... Huh? Not even from a pickup truck... Go figure... whatever

This weekend I saw my aunt who has survived two rounds of chemo. She was so close to gone, but then the tide turned. She still works every day and is freer than she has ever been. Someone else in my life is doing a holistic fight of the same disease. When payday hits I'm in!

Love the new profile pic. **wipes drool from chin** love

Brutal test ride up Becket Rd. hill this evening, but the 20 yr old hardtail mountain bike is working just fine. With the fat, slick road tires it will be just the tool for 40 miles and 5 boros in NYC on Sunday!

ARRR!!!

dmac:
What?!? did you just say....... HARDTAIL??? wink
That just sounds naughty!

I love the picture of the artist sitting inside the armiture. That's a great perspective from the inside out.

Thanks for sharing!!! kiss

~ "Castle Laws" don't apply if one seeks out confrontation...
~ I don't hear anything but static in that CNN/Zimmerman recording. How about you?
~ I'm sorry for the family's loss. The incident saddens me on several levels.

Oh, and on a personal note, all four wisdom teeth yanked out tomorrow. I bought extra, organic, on-sale chocolate milk for smoothies... frown

Yikes, you've managed to live this long with your wisdom teeth, and now they have to come out? I thought I might be able to keep mine, but they started bothering me in my late 20's. I hope you're starting to feel better!
cybele:
Whoa, those are some nasty looking little buggers! I bet you're relieved to have that over and done with! (I still have my wisdom teeth, and I suspect that, one day, I'll have to have mine yanked, as well. Ugh.) Hope you're not in too much pain. Cold, soothing, chocolate smoothies cure just about anything, though, don't they?

The whole Martin/Zimmerman tragedy is both deeply depressing and completely enraging. I can't bring myself to listen to the 911 recordings. I just can't.

Anyway...glad you like the Spaceweather website. It really is quite neat. smile

~ I've been out this week with a borrowed 8 in reflector, enjoying Venus, Jupiter, Mars, Saturn, the Orion Nebula, and comet Garradd. Saturn, Mars and Venus are just larger, brighter dots with the telescope. On the other hand, I can see four of Jupiter's moons and three dim belts! It's very cool that thery're all out there and well visible to the naked eye!...

~ 30 miles on the bike this evening, down to Guido's and back. 33F when I got back, my new headlight is kick-ass! Hooah, good training, Yowza! Oh, and my lips are frozen...
(The lack of winter in the Berkshires is causing me to start hurting myself earlier this year... whatever )
~ Do you do a sport(s) or something athletic?

The 10 Most Excellent Reasons to Attack Iran

1. Iran has threatened to fight back if attacked, and that's a war crime. War crimes must be punished.

2. My television says Iran has nukes. I'm sure it's true this time. Just like with North Korea. I'm sure they're next. We only bomb places that really truly have nukes...
