So I've decided that instead of becoming a Linguistics Interpreter, I'm going to become an M.P. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions or opinions? I'd really like to hear them before I sign all the papers.
i won't try to talk you out but make sure its what you want.the military isn't very open minded about changing once you are trained.also think about this if you end up in a war zone m p's guard access points which are high targeted areas.whatever you decide i wish the best and good luck.don't let the drill instructors rattle you stay strong huah
I think Linguistics offers you a brighter future after you leave the military. I recommend either navy or air force heavily leaning towards air force.
Army can take you out of your job and apply you where they need. I know a medic who spent two of his first four years working in the motor pool, not doing essential field training in his field. He did get it, just late. two years behind.....
MY GOD! I did 5 loads of laundry tonight! Next time I WILL NOT procrastinate so long to do it. It's pretty bad when you just keep buying more clothes just so you don't have to wash your other ones lol
My balance is pretty good (the personal trainer at my gym tested that) but probably not good enough to skate and/or snowboard effectively. I must learn to snowboard this winter... and this time, I'll make it happen.
2 Weeks until my birthday and yet I still have nothing planned. Jeeze. I really gotta start being more social. I kinda shut everyone out these past 6 months. I guess I'll spend my birthday with my niece and sister. More cake for us right? Lol Hopefully they even show up. My best friend won't even take off work for a day to spend with... Read More
It's freezing cold but I can't stop eating this Ice Cream Sunday cake that I've been hooked on for 3 days. Mmmm. It's worth the goose bumps and shivering.
I am so not looking forward to running 4 miles at 6 a.m. tomorrow in the cold. I wish I at least had a running partner. I'm probably known as the Jogging Loner around the neighborhood... Read More
Leaving for Thanks Rave in about an hour. Not so much in a rave mood, but I haven't been very social lately, so I might as well make some new friends, right? Eh, well that's what I'm telling myself.
Honestly, I'd rather stay in and watch the movies I rented... It's pretty sad that the people from blockbusters notices when they haven't seen you in... Read More
My head is throbbing. I'm pretty sure I have a sugar hangover. And yes, Sugar hangovers are very possible. If you don't believe me, try having nothing but junk and sugar all day/night and you'll have your conclusion.
Anyway, how was everyones Thanksgiving? Anything interesting happen?
I saw a parakeet poop on the turkey. lol!! I was having Thanksgiving dinner over at a friends, and her mom's bird got out of the cage while some of her grandchildren were "just looking" at it. So poor things flying all over the house with like 30 people chasing after it, flies over the turkey sitting on the table and BAM!!! Gets it's revenge. Good thing is though, nobody saw it happen. So i just cleaned it off and YAY!!!! Pretty much saved Thanksgiving.
I loved your debut set. You are beautiful, an absolute knock out!
This year, instead of going home (my parents are on a sailboat cruise from Portugal to Saint Barts), I staid n DC and cooked for the three women I live with. None of them can cook, but there was one additional woman invited over who is fairly competent in the kitchen. My sister works at Niemen's, and they do sell food beyond cookies. So we bought a Cajun style breast instead of a whole turkey (which looks impressive, but nobody here really likes) and an overstuffed apple pie. In addition to the regular cornbread stuffing I usually make, and made one with sausage. Garlic mashed potatoes, gravy, Caesar salad.
I really recommend the breast, unless you really like drumsticks,
