When @rambo and @missy mentioned this weeks "sg homework" for favorite body mod, i bet you can guess mine pretty quickly..
My ears! Yes, my ears i love them. I started my journey of ear stretching when I was 15. I was dying for tattoos and face piercings, but like most daughters, I was limited. My mother was okay with it, didn't like it, but it was not against our rules :)
I loved the way they looked. I thought they were frightening, bad ass, and powerful. With my plugs, people in my small town either thought I was some sort of freak killer and didn't mess with me or thought I was an alien, both Im extremely okay with. The processof stretching showed a patience I was willing to give as well as a pain I was willing to endure, both I admired.
I was at 2 inches, a goal I had forever. But, like everything, it came a time where I was ready to move on. My ears hurt, they were tired. I was tired of putting them in, taking them out. I was tired of sea soaks and taking them out to work out. When Diablo Organics sent me weights to wear, I just began wearing those. I loved the feeling of being free from jewelry and only wearing those for special occasions. Eventually, my ears began to shrink and now I have no idea what sizes they are at.
I probably won't get reconstructive surgery. Partially because i love my hanging loves regardless and partially because fuck surgeries haha.
My ears have been with me through thick and thin (literally) and I love them dearly. Body modification has always held a special place in my heart. Where the weird, the unnatural, and the unique can all be one!

And im hosting my first vegan potluck at our local park which I'm excited about. I'm also playing a little show with a few other acoustic bands next month. Chickens have been, a handle. One thing after another, but thats what happens when you have children (follow @exningschickens on instagram for further updates).
I'll also be attending Hell City Phoenix! @ecco and I will be rooming together, so excited! Hope to see some of you there :)
