Good morning all, I hope you're healthy, happy and mentally stimulated! I'm going to tell you very briefly about my time in Sydney the last few days.
I arrived early on Sunday morning and had time to kill before my check-in to the place I stayed at. I made my way to a Westfield shopping centre where I waited for shops to open. Funnily enough, an hour after arriving in Sydney, I dropped my wallet and spent the morning attempting to retrieve it. Someone had picked it up and dropped it into a post box and since it was Sunday I was at a total lost to get it back despite knowing its exact location. So that was fun! I had a lot of great help though from security, NSW police and Australia Post. Quite an effort for all and I'm very grateful. To end the day on a good note though, I met up with a friend and got to explore a bit of the city and unwind after such a big morning.
Day 2 began early once more with my first shoot, then another. Both photographers were very kind and welcoming and I couldn't be happier with the experience or the shots we got. I'll post some of those as I get them back to my IG (@shesuseless.sg).
Day 3 I had another shoot in the morning but struggled to find my groove. I got comfortable in the end and also made some lovely work out of it. It's quite stressful and frustrating when that happens as you know you're not performing your best and feel like you're letting down the photographer. I always try to be honest though and usually we work through it together.
Tonight I fly home and will spend the day again with my friend shit-talking and roaming around. All in all I've had an enjoyable time and wouldn't mind coming back, or at least working with the lovely photographers I met should they venture down to Melbourne one day.
That's it from me. I have work until the end of the week and then hopefully I can catch up on some sleep! I am exhausted, but happy.
Until next time.
