HAPPY ST. PATTY'S DAY EVERYONE!

so about once every month i go through this intense pet-craving where i want to get a new animal SO bad. this month i MUST resist because i have way too many as it is. i want more tarantulas though. but luckily my B. vagans molted last night and i got to watch the entire process, i took some pics too and must share them.
this is her flipped on her back, pushing the old skin off. you can't really see the old skin because it's at the edge of her legs, she's almost finished. i love how when they first molt, their fangs are white and soft until they dry and harden up to turn black.
and this is how she looks today after she's recovered from the laborious process. the colors are so fresh and bright right after a molt.
this is the exuvium, or shed skin. i need to send this out to get sexed. hopefully i have a female, because females live up to 10-20 years, depending on the species. males only last a few years after they mature and arent as big and pretty as the girls.
