In the darkness of my mind I can see you with her. You're telling her that you love her, that she's the "best thing that ever happened" to you, you're saying that you'll "never leave" her.
She's stupid like me and eating those words and throwing away all her doubt and putting her trust in you...like I did. Your most recent ex is an awful person to her...just like when we were going out your last ex was dirt to me. She thinks it's forever...just like I did. You are beautiful to her...just like you were (and still are) to me.
Fastforward months from now and you've dumped her for another girl...she's been replaced and she realizes (just as I did) how that most recent ex felt at that moment when she got replaced.
I cannot see the future but out my window I can see the night sky...maybe you're looking at it with her so in love....and I am but a distant memory you've made yourself forget. I am dirt...and my hands are stained by my bleeding heart as I turn my eyes to the star's icy moonlit glow.
