HMMM sounds pretty bad, it is times like those that I turn on the radio and get out of my own CD collection. Now before you start throwing stuff at me I live accross teh street from the University up here and get the College station and KRUA rocks. Also KZND isn't too bad if KZND isn't too bad if i want to listen to alternative hard rock/punk/local bands but the still get pretty repetitive. Kinda funny how Anchorage has a better selection of radio stations than San Diego (well SD from 10 years ago now), hell it even has a better local music scen than SD from back then. and your current crush is the fat kid from kinko's? For me at least the important shows to catch are Locals Only (Alaskan bands only and JEB rocks), Edge Essential, Speedball, and the now defunct Punk Buster. Also the normally KRUA rotation isn't too bad and a decent way of finding some good stuff but it is pretty ecclectic so chances are there will be something in there you won't like too much.
and remember there is always stamp collecting as a way of defining the inner you!

PS btw never heard of the Halo Friendlies before either, but looked em up their are a christian rock band if that was your concern. My only experience with christian rock is limited to Striper and Petra (not good experiences mind you but experiences none the less), of course early MXPX (not bad, but not great either). But then again I am not christian so I don't really get into secular stuff period.
