Rant for my own sanity.
I've just spent my second month at home. It's hard to truly be productive with my time when I am making every effort to no spend any money. However I'm pretty happy with myself for working on two paintings. The problem is, I only seem to take on enormous projects. Namely a 48" x 36" canvas. I'm happy to have finished one project in December, that I started nearly two years prior.
Walk in The Woods
Now I've sort of surprised myself by starting another even more ambitious project. I won't post an pictures yet, but I've chosen to recreate a 256 colour image that was 150 x 95 pixels, adding up to over 14000 individual pixels, on another 48" x 36" canvas. Each pixel will be 1/4" across. I'm roughly 1/3 of the way done, and I just want to say. This was a completely retarded endeavor. This could seriously take me 100hrs or better.
Oh, I'm not done yet though, I have at least three more heavy duty projects on the books, not the least of which includes renovations to my house (once I get working again), the rebuilding of a vintage snowmobile, and my newest obsession.... laser pistols.
I have been a huge fan of Harrison Krix of Volpin Props for several years now. His recreations of video games finest arsenals has been outstandingly superb, and after scouring eBay, I've come to the conclusion, that if I want laser pistols, I am going to have to make them.
