New Years Eve, wow! That kind of snuck up again this year didn't it?
With the kids at home for the holidays it has been a little tough to get any SG time.
"What are you looking at Dad?"
*closing laptop again* "Oh, nothing..."
I've been off work for a month now. I saved up some good coin before I got laid off, but it's sort of coming to an end. Another couple of weeks, and we'll be in some pretty bad shape. Hopefully things pick up in the new year.
Add this to the fact that I am definitely going to have to take my ex to court. I'm not sure where the money is going to come from for that.
I'm sort of, just a little bit, pissed at mother nature right now. A brown Christmas/ New Years? Here?
Last year at this time, we must have had three feet of snow already.
I bought my oldest a bunch of new snowboarding gear for Christmas. Conditions are no good for snowboarding at the local hills right now, and due to the whole out of work thing, I can't really afford to take us to the mountains.
We woke to some big fluffy white flakes falling yesterday, but within the next hour they turned to heavy raindrops, which quickly froze to an inch thick layer of crusty ice all over everything. We all went for a walk around my grandfather's farm yesterday, and you almost had to yell to be heard over your own footsteps.
I got some t-shirts from Snorg Tees for Chritmas, I'm pretty thrilled with those. Sharks, with frikken lazer beams! My family did good for buying me Christmas presents. I never ask for anything. I don't need anything. I'm pretty focused on what I'm giving, and I really could care less about what I get. But, when a five year old boy can pick out the perfect gift for you... it's pretty great.
