First of all, I would like to thank each and every one of you for attending my anniversary celebration and making it a huge success! I promise an even bigger and more exciting show for next year!!!!

OK, now here is my long boring story of me trying to get another cat and why I still don't have one.

A week from last Saturday I go with my parents to PetSmart to look at kitten for me to adopt. Well, they had no kittens and told us to come back next week.

So, last Saturday, my parents, my brother, and I go to PetSmart. They have black kittens, they have white kittens, and the have black & white kittens. I have a black cat already and don't want a white one because I wear a lot of black. So we decide to go to the Humane Society. They had TONS of cute kittens, more than a few I would gladly take home. So I fill out a 3 page adoption application. Then I sit down for an interview where they ask all the questions that I just answered on the application (do you let your cat outside, how much do you spend on your cat per month, does your roommate know you want another cat, etc.) Then they tell me that there was some information that they could not verify. First they called my roommate and, of course, he said he was cool with another cat. Then they called my vet to get Curse's medical records, but, it was SATURDAY so the vet place was not open. Then they tell me that their records show that my apartment complex only allows one cat. What the fuck? That's so not true, and when they try to call them, the person at the desk has no idea and wants them to call back Monday! But get this, the damn Humane Society is NOT OPEN ON MONDAY!!!!! So, I leave...

Monday, I go talk to my apartment complex and they don't know why the Humane Society thought that or why the person who answered the phone couldn't tell them that.

Today, I return to the Humane Society and get everything verified. So, now everything is all set for me to adopt! I look around at the cages and the other enclosures and, while most of the animals are the same as Saturday, I notice a lot of "I've already been adopted" signs up. OK, maybe I'm not seeing this right, so I ask the girl behind the desk (who was very fucking cute and had a bunch of cool tattoos, I might add) if there are any male, non-black kittens available. She goes in the back and leafs through a pile of paperwork while I stare at the blue star tattoo on her elbow. She comes back and says "well, it looks like there are NO male kittens available"! Damn it! I ask how often they get more and she gives a pretty vague answer, "we get kittens all of the time". I ask when I should check back, and she suggests that I should call, "call everyday" was her reply. Ugh... So I leave....

So, here I am, still new-kittenless. It's really starting to become frustrating, I never knew how hard it was just to adopt a damn cat. So I figure I'll call them back on Thursday and every two days after that. It's bound to happen soon...

P.P.S. I picked up the new PJ Harvey today, it's quite awesome! The liner notes have lots of self portraits she took and she's so hot! I really got a "thing" for her. And she dedicated a song to Vincent Gallo! How cool is that?
