We made to New Zealand! We got in on 2 June at 4:30 a.m. after a 13-hour trans-Pacific flight. If I ever had any doubts about not having kids, they were put to rest by that flight. I honestly don't know how the parents do it. This one little girl kept shrieking every five minutes. Annoying at any time of the day, but especially so at 2 a.m. The flight attendant finally told her to shut the fuck up and she did.
I have to say New Zealand is great. The country is beautiful and the people are incredibly friendly. I was afraid I'd spend most of my time arguing with people, telling them that I don't like or support Bush, but that hasn't been the case. Two people have asked me about our illustrious president (dripping with sarcasm) and they were polite about it. Quite a relief.
More updates as they become available.
