I enjoy being sleep deprived.
I mean, I do not enjoy the haze that usually accompanies sleep deprivation or the slowing of my reflexes due to a lack of sleep. What I do enjoy is the force of will required to work through things in spite of being at a disadvantage.
For me one of the greatest things in life is to push the limits of what my body can withstand. Whether it be a 16 hour car ride with only one bathroom stop, going several days without eating, not sleeping, whathaveyou.
I really do not know why I get pleasure from such things, but I do. Maybe it is to make up from some inadequacies I subconciously have. Perhaps it is to make up for those I know I have.
Being comfortable is a privledge that many people have. Too often that privledge is taken for granted. I believe I often forget that my comfort is the result of the hard work of so many people.

Just don't ever fly out here to go to a game at Comerica. It's a mall that just happens to have a diamond in the middle. I hate it. I miss Tiger Stadium.
