with responsibility comes authority
with authority comes regulations
with regulations comes resentment
with resentment comes democracy
which often leads to a shift in authority and responsibility
let me know if i messed that up, or left anything out.
the pivotal point in my relationships always comes just after one has relinquished an amount of control to the other. that is when the shit hits either the fan or the toilet.
i finally got a dvd player the other day. i bought jackie brown, star wars 2, fight club and next friday. how exciting! it has been so long since i have spent any money on myself that i forgot that crappy feeling of freedom you get when you load your purchases into the house. i think i will leave the boxes and packing styrofoam strung about for a while just so i don't forget that i have something new in my life.
i used to be a rampant, delirious consumer... buying everything on a whim and without regard for my limited closet and bank account. two hundred dollar shoes, fifty dollar shirts that would eventually disappear in my friends suitcases and many other fancy things.
i wonder what happened. now i sport mostly suicidegirl swag and dickies workpants, without even an occasion to wear that neato bondage dress or the bloomers that were my last expensive purchases. i own a dress i paid one hundred dollars for, and i've never even worn it. and i can't take it back.
chloe says my sweater that i'm wearing today looks like a carseat. i am not inclined to disagree.

i guess i should clarify... this does not mean specifically romantic relationships. in fact it does not mean romantic relationships at all. ok, just so you know.
