It makes me sad when I think about it, but I do exactly the same thing. I'm a a really cool friend to have, but when someone moves away I never make an effort to keep in-touch with them. It seems like the more I care about someone, the least likely I am to reach out to them. Kind of like I don't REALLY deserve to have them as a friend.

I know that's crap, but I stil feel that way. Anyway, I'm glad to know I'm not the only one. Thanks for sharing that with us.

I relate to this wholeheartedly. The worst part, I think, is going along with your life, all happy-like, and then BAM you find yourself sitting alone with regrets and memories of things you could have done better. I personally don't like too many people knowing me too well. There's a safety in keeping people at arm's distance. But there are consequences.

Anyway. Learning from mistakes, cherishing what good times you did have, yadda yadda, all that mushy hopeful stuff.
