I have not sen the movie, but I read the book based on the recommendation of a very hot woman who loves the series. I was surprised by the many negative reviews of the book on Amazon. I think these were Buffy fans, like myself. Members of the Cult of Buffy tend to want all vampire relationships to be along the lines of Angel or Spike.
