i still feel that my last entry should be in the foreground, but there were too many comments. i will post everything if/when it happens. the info is being sent through appropriate channels, as i find out what those are. i've made a formal complaint to the CCRB. i've sent a note to that woman at salon.com who legionnaire suggested. i sent a note to WNBC in nyc. i have a friend who knows a retired cop who still knows people on the force. she is furious,

got a free piano tuning yesterday cause the piano tuner sucked, and they aren't going to bill me. good thing, since i have to get it retuned now. anybody have a cheap Bosendorfer they want to sell me? or give me? these things are ungodly expensive...but so gorgeous, they'd make any of you sound...well, gorgeous.

Good luck with that. You're a better person than probably about 99% of New Yorkers for helping out that poor girl. Most people, unfortunately, would probably just have walked by.
if i had an extra one on hand it would be yours, but, alas, the only piano i've got in a 1965 janssen with a cracked soundboard. *sighs* oh well.
it's no wonder i learn by ear.
