woke up 5:40am stretched got dressed and ready to brave the 48 degree temp...bought 2 bananas...went to buy a new metrocard with credit card and $5 in my pocket. credit card machine #1 doesn't work. and takes a looooong time "processing" to tell me it doesn't work. ditto #2. asked the sleeping asshole of a lady in the kiosk if they weren't working. she said "try another machine." i said "i tried two." she said "try the other one." so i did. woke her up again to tell her it wasn't working either. she said, "well then they're not working." thanks, cow. $5 is not enough for 2 bus rides and a swim pass ($6 would be) and by the time, to go back up to my apartment, get another $1, buy metrocards from her with cash, wait for the sunday morning bus...i wouldn't get in the pool by 7am, which means i wouldn't get to finish my 2100, and being the snob/loser that i am, i don't want to go swimming unless i can do the distance i came there to do. so now i'm up with full swim energy. can i sleep? i think not?

I'm sure I'll get one of them two things.. but the doc said my blood was too thick to get a really good reading on my levels.. So I have to get a new test in six weeks.
