This year I went with the rum advent calendar instead of a whiskey one. With me having been in the Navy a rum one just fits, the whole rum ration and all. So the first one I get to try is Matusalem 15 Gran Reserva, it’s a 40% by volume, has a sweet and slightly spicy aroma. Just to note I will be drinking all of these poured over ice. It has a sweet taste on first sip and then a warmth that spreads and slightly cleared my sinuses in a good way. Has a mellow aftertaste and is enjoyable all around.
