I had a lot of thoughts but instead I will share these.
first three are about the family. a religious group that is basically rich people who believe being rich means they were annointed by god and so are working to achieve a specific ultimate change in the government that follows their own version of gods laws or something. Anyone who isn't rich is lucky to get their scraps. they export their views, in this case specifically to uganda. Those acolytes in uganda are working to create a uganda free of homosexuals.

My mom volunteered in Uganda this year with her church. As dedicated as she is, I respect her for not going over there to preach. She was there to help revitalize an orphanage and offer medical services as that is the field of her expertise. She's selling off all her stuff and downsizing a bit so she can go back and continue her work there. I had heard about the homosexual trials and asked her on her return about them. She didn't witness anything, but after asking around a bit, she heard stories of people being murdered just for being associated with them. Pretty scary shit.
