I've grown quite accustomed to my world collapsing around me. I never had a genuine concept of hope anyway. Each one helps me to slip out of this shell and leave my humanity behind.

That's really too bad, you know. Every time you lose that bit of humanity, you lose a closeness and a path to communication that are nearly impossible to get back.
