Some weeks ago I was at my job. Their was a jumping spider on a glueboard, still alive. I spent over ten minutes trying to free it. I was trying not to harm it as I worked to free each leg. It was trying to get free as I worked on each leg. It kept getting reattached to the glue. In the end it lost a leg and a pedipalp. I wanted to cry as I failed to free it without harming it. I did not have proper tools and it kept getting itself stuck again. WIthout it's pedipalps it cannot communicate with the other jumping spiders, it cannot find a mate. It was still alive, I took it with me in the case my nephew could care for it. It was a beautiful spider. A deep rich black with white banding on its legs and a metallic green on its mandibles. I have never seen one like it. It just didn't survive. That was not a good day. I have found a lot of things in my new job. many things that would cause various reactions on various people. Some things that can only be described as out of a horror film. Others Well every experience in life is a new way to see how disgusting humanity is.
