I sat for a day with the knowledge that Ginsburg is dead. Here's the thing though, the media has been softening it for months, one mention of medical treatment after another. One vague op/ed about "what now" after another. This is what our media does. No one imagined she was well, simply sticking it out with her clerks doing the best they could until the turn of the shitty worm, well, no more.
Mourning is necessary, taking time for it is necessary, but these "now we fight" memes bother me. If an eighty seven year old woman was your last stand, if she was the thread still holding it together for you, if RBG was your notorious anything...you have already put FAR too much hope and faith in the flailing responses of our rigged judicial and societal systems.
I need you to dig deep, I need you to find that point where you know you aren't willing to take any more shit. I need you to get in touch with the fucking bog witch your mother, or grandmother, or favored aunt, or whoever, told you that you shouldn't become. I need you to find the cunt you needed to avoid becoming so you could be valued and considered "good" in our worthless patriarchy.
Feminism is in real trouble, female equity and female value are in absolute jeopardy and no, it's not because a female supreme court justice is dead. Or I should say, it's not "just" because she has died.
There is an absolute cabal of female subjugation in our nation, always has been and the numbers of that cabal have grown thick with women who believe they are equal players in the schemes of their male counterparts. Forced birthers and those willing to plant their status against their sex in order to stick it to POC are legion.
"Nasty women" aren't enough. Feminism needs to become a force to be reckoned with once again. Hundreds of thousands of female bodies need to grind into the apparatus to stop the hell that is coming. Thousands of arrests will need to be made, hundreds of thousands of voices will need to comingle into a single phrase once again that howls "Enough."

@jessieoops It's staggering how relatable things are between here with Chile, with Peru, with the majority of the countries of the Americas south, central and north. Those that haven't already lost the war with fascism and theocracy seem busily surrendering their rights to truly terrifying and absolutely anti-female dogmas.
