You been there or you ain't...Covenant Series, book six...
"Clozapine, Haldol, Lorazepam, Lithium, a rose by any other name still leaves you with dry mouth and the constant feeling like you forgot something very important. Around here the greatest hits are still the oldest and most true and if you want to talk about fever and shitting yourself blind, he’s the man of the god damned hour right about now. If you want to talk about head down, feet splayed, pitching a tent against the cheap carpeting and knowing the goosh is never gonna come, he’s your man. If you want to find out how it feels to have a minute become an hour of absolute, naked, nothing, then listen to him now as he mumbles sweet nothings to the dropped push pin laying on the floor underneath the desk."
"The push pin, as worthy as it is, is his side bitch though, something to whisper sweet nothings to while he flails and mutters to himself in hopes of reaching the slightly bent paper clip hanging out shyly on the periphery of his vision. If he can manage both and get the time to work at them, he might have something, along with the broken razor blade, the tooth brush stem and the wad of still malleable chewing gum he scored over the last few days."
