"Rotten brains get launched out of the split open ruins of the thing’s head. Died for real this time, no doubt about that. What comes out of its head holds none of that pinkish grey color that horror movies tell us healthy brains are supposed to look like. These brains are blue and black, the color of a bad bruise and the clumps that spatter and stick to the surface they land on, along with the accompanying stink, remind me that these brains belonged to one of them. Those brains were rotten long before they hit the lime green door, looking like globs of fat covered in grape jelly. They glisten and shine under the big halogen bulb still burning bright over the outbuilding."
