Today is an amazing day! 
I am so excited! 
I now have the artwork for my next tattoo! 
I have this rule where I have to want a certain design or idea for a tattoo for many years before I will actually get a tattoo. Which sadly is the reason I only have one tattoo.
Well, this tattoo is going on my left ankle. I have had the concept for a long time, we are talking like seven fucking years!!!
I want a piece of artwork, all in black and grey. Not some cheesy tattoo that everyone else has. I like things that are unique. But, I could not find a piece of artwork that was just right and I did not know any artists that could draw for me. Even then I was planning on getting several good drawings from different artists and choosing between them. I am sure you can see the issue here. 
As is turns out my step son is dating this wonderful artist. I love what I have seen of her work, it is awesome. I went over my idea with her a week ago and she showed up this last Sunday with a painting, an absolutely perfect painting, the perfect size, exactly what I want! Life is good!
It will probably be a month or two until I get the tattoo because the tattoo artist I want to have do the work is always busy. And no, I am not saying what it is until after I get it, then I will post pictures!!
Ha! and I got a 5 min. thunderstorm this morning.

I am the same way I will spend at minimum a year designing a tattoo before I take it to an artist to do the finishing touches. though when I was younger and didn't have as good contacts with tattoo artists I settled for their designs for when they couldn't make mine work and that's the only regret I have about my first two tattoo's
