I hate homework, yes I do. I do I do I do I do. Especially when a sore throat keeps interfering. I'm writing a research paper (on my "springbreak," nontheless,) about gay marriages. I betcha can't guess what my position is on that one. One of my best friends is Catholic, and despite the fact that one of our friends is gay, she's still opposed...

A love/hate relationship with pop culture? Oh we share that bigtime! In fact I seem to have a love/hate relationship with a lot of things. I see you're becoming a fan of japanese animation. That was part of my life for a while, many years ago. I still love Mamoru Oshii's work.
Hey, does anyone feel like getting pissed off? Well I have got just the thing!

Tolkien is partying in his grave right now. I felt so close to every nerd out there last night when LOTR won EVERYTHING...well, almost. But yeah, go Frodo
I saw Monster and though I didn't watch any of the other performances, I think Charlize deserved her Oscar. Her transformation was amazing, even if they hadn't made her ugly I would have forgotten she was playing...

Helloo.
Love is back and I accept w/ open arms. To feel this way, this spectacular feeling of flight, is so worth the pain. I'm just not the same without love.
I saw SG burlesque on Valentine's in Columbus. I don't want to bitch too much, but if it weren't for the girls FINALLY getting on stage the whole night sucked. If I had known...

Well so far I am feeling better. I'm trying not to stress out so much. Menstruating will do that to ya. I'm really looking forward to this weekend. I'll be in Columbus w/ John (his b-day is friday) but best of all we're going to sg burlesque on saturday. What an awesome way to spend valentine's day
I know, I'm an idiot for staying w/...

Blah. And tired. That is the sum of my day.
I'm afraid that my last couple entries have been very solumn and depressing. I'm also afraid that today's will be no better.
Loooong day. Few things went well. Plenty went to hell. (Sorry for the rhyme.) I left at 10am and wasn't able to come home until 11pm. The only physical rest I had was...

My dad had back surgery yesterday. He's in a lot of pain and can barely move. It just took us 20 minutes to get him off the couch and upstairs to bed. I've never seen him look so frightened....he kept saying he couldn't do it, his back was going to give out. My dad is over 400 pounds, so if he were to topple over...

no, he doesn't deserve your patience, tolerance, care and love. people don't change... they just become more like what they really are on the inside. if you are realizing that he is no good now, it's better than never... i hope that you can "get over him" or "forget him" or whatever you want to call it. you are worth so much more, and deserve to be happy. noone should be sad... but sometimes life does that to us. it sucks... but if you can hope for happiness, you will find it. the sadness will go away eventually... there is no need to cry *hug*
i hope that your father's pain subsides soon. it seems that back surgery is always painful. but he'll get used to the pain, or the pain will go away. it just takes time. when you are that large, you have to spend a lot of time learning how to carry your own weight (or it seems so anyway), and when you undergo something like backsurgery, you have to relearn how to move around. but he will be fine. i'm sure of it

So, how is everyone? I'm doing ok. John and I are getting along well...he actually is calling me more often then he did when we were "official." He keeps giving me hints that he wants to get back together, but I told him now isn't a good time. I'm trying to get back to not relying on someone so much for my own happiness, and...

So John and I broke up. For some reason I'm really not that sad...I think the fact that for the past 3 weeks I didn't feel like I had a boyfriend anyway kinda softened the blow. He just didn't seem to care enough anymore, despite all that he said. But actions speak louder than words, and his actions were barely audible. We're still talking...if you...

Love is a fickle thing (good god that's sooooo cliche). It sounds like this is indeed for the better, and I hope that you are able to find happiness, wholeness, and peace.
oh, and if people were naked, people would still try for "perfection". in tribal culture, they still augment themselves with piercings, jewelery, tattoos (and other forms of scarring) and paint. we would all be able to see flaws, and those would become distinguising marks, whether it be good or bad. but "pristine" people with smooth, unblemished skin, with firm flesh and well groomed hair... they would still be the gods of the masses. at least... that's what i think.
oh, and your coolness factor went up by 2 points now that i know you play the violin

I'm so sad. I'm so empty. I'm so alone.
What have I done but love you? Why do I deserve this neglect? Don't you see that love is a living, breathing creature that needs your care? It can't grow by it's own in the soil, it needs light. Warmth. A fucking phone call every now and then. I can't sustain it all alone. Our child...

So I'm going to be boring and list random facts about me. It's really selfish, I know, thinking that you'd actually be curious, but I enjoy this kind of stuff. So here goes.
I am 5'3, 125 lbs.
I have brown hair and eyes
I have no boobs and a ghetto booty
I bite my nails and cut my cuticles daily, to the point of...

I started school yesterday. It was schoolish...nothing special. I'm happy i finally got that all together, though. I had my hair cut today, not very different, but added some side-sweepy bangs to my otherwise style-less hair. John is coming home tomorrow. I'm kind of excited. Starting to get used to life w/out him...we'll see what happens. We might go see sgburlesque on valentines. Gonna see...
