i'm pretty sure you're not the only one w/a gun - even in boulder. people there, i discovered after living there for 7 years, are much more conservative than they would like you to believe.
i don't like guns. my friend - actually, the lawyer in nebraska - suggested we keep his broken shotgun in the house - it won't fire, but it looks really scary, and if worst comes to worst, you smack someone pretty hard over the head w/ it.
but i declined.

The Leafs fuckin' blow! Again I'm not a big fan of hockey, but these fans are killing me. Everyone is depressed.

Yeah, the Phils are playing pretty well. They hadn't been scoring with much consistency up until this past series (sorry, man). Thome has been doing well offensively and RBI-wise but he hasn't even begun to hit for power (only 2HR) ... strangely enough, Burrell (3HR, .230ish), and Abreu (1HR, .230ish) haven't really been too powerful either, but the team as a whole has been getting the clutch hits that they didn't get last year. The bench has been amazing, and, for the most part the bullpen has been solid. We have four steady starters in Millwood, Wolf (he's never pitched this well in April), Padilla, and Myers ... we need to find a fifth. Hopefully Duckworth or Roa can turn it around.

I think the Phils are for real ... and also in a three way tie for first with Les Expos and the motherfucking Braves.

How 'bout this playoff hockey?
I'm writing this on a break between overtimes 4 and 5 of the ANA/DAL game. The Ducks got jobbed on that "non-goal'" in OT3.

Yeah, the Wild comeback was only the seventh time in NHL history that a team has come back from a 3-1 situation by winning two on the road. That's gotta be harsh.

The Flyers should have won in five with the way they played. I'm curious to see how they'll do against the Sens.
