So my first Mothers day was AWESOME. haha I woke up and went to church with my mom, dad and brothers and sister in law. then we went to my sister (in law) parents house and had an awesome barbecue! i dont ea meat but everything else was yummy!
And i applied for college at West Georgia this week!! My classes start August 22nd and i think im only going to take 2 or maybe 3 classes. I also work at American Eagle and i don't want to get overwhelmed. Of course nothing is set in stone but I think my major will be political science and my minor will be either journalism, communications, or history. I'm a huge history buff and i would make that my major but I dont want to teach and other than teaching my options are kinda slim on what i can do with a history major. I'm a really good writer so I was thinking I would get my degree in political science and write about politics! I love politics... I was considering communications because if i ever wanted to do anything like be a news anchor that would be my route. haha Of course this is all opened for corrections and changes. I'm just really going to focus on school while Matthew is gone. I get Pell and other benefits for being a mommy.

With regards to the in-laws, it sounds like you and your husband have already developed a great strategy to not fee their anger. Telling him not to respond, or him telling his mother that he wasn't going to argue was the right thing to do. At this point, I don't know if there's anything you can do to make them happy. You're husband did the right thing as a son and told his mother happy mother's day, and he was judged by the way he did it. I have a feeling if he had called, he would have been yelled at for not doing it in person.
I hope his parents come around soon and mend everything with you and your husband. You and your husband take care now!
