its been a while since ive done a big photo dump so im going to get to that but first i want to talk to you guys about something more serious.
several months ago the house that my mother and brother live in was raided by the police in the middle of the night.
they forced their way into the house without a warrant.
they ransacked the house, and confiscated several hundred dollars among other things.
they attempted to manipulate and bully my brother into becoming an informant.
subsequent to the raid my brother given several charges, including possesion of marijuana, growing , intent to distribute, and paraphenalia charges.
luckily we were able to afford a good lawyer and he had almost all the charges dropped in court- because the police searched and seized without a warrent.
so that brings me to my first point-
We need to decriminalize marijuana in the united states NOW!
this is not a dangerous drug people.
i am proud to admit i use it everyday and its benefits my life.
we need to stop clogging up out court system and jails with non violent marijuana offenses.
it is a plant.
it is a natural medication.
i could go on for days about this but moving on-
This past week my brother was driving in the town he was arrested in, with his girlfriend and her three young siblings.
one of the officers that was involved in the raid pulled up behind him.
after tailgaiting him for several miles he turned his lights on.
the "officer" call over the load speaker for my brother to pull into a car wash on the side of the road.
they pull into the car wash.
The officer turns his lights off (which also turns his dashboard camera off)
and approaches the car.
he tells my bother he has been pulled over because one of the children isnt buckled in.
which she is.
at that moment 3 other squad cars pull into the car wash, even though theyre has been no reason to call in back up.
the officer takes my brothers liscence and reads his name.
He saracsticly says "how do i know you?"
my brother replies "you know"
then laughing the officer says (infront of the young children) "OH YEAH! i arrested you for growing and selling weed- Get out of the car!"
mind you my brother was found not guilty of those charges and he has been pulled over for no reason.
The officer grabs my brother and slams him up against the car.
he pats him down and finds nothing.
the officer seems to be annoyed at this point and asks to search the car which he does.
finds nothing.
throws my brothers liscence at him and leaves.
The police brutality in this country is out of control
the police are on a power trip that involves abusing everyone in their path.
although this was a light situation compared to what could happen
i have a feeling this wont be the last time he is harrassed.
my brother and i both marched at occupy wallstreet and i cant help but to see similarities between this and the horrible brutality that happened at wallstreet and other occupy marches thru the country.
Its time to fight the power people.
stand up for yourselves.
the united states is supposed to be a free country.
HOW ARE WE FREE WHEN ANY TIME WE ARE DRIVING WE CAN BE PULLED OVER AND HASSLED.
HOW ARE WE FREE WHEN ARE PHONES AND INTERNET CAN BE TAPPED??
HOW ARE WE FREE WHEN THE MEDIA IS BIASED AND LIES???

The police brutality makes me very sad, that is a profession that is not unlike being a soldier, its putting your life on the line every moment of every day to serve and protect the community. I cannot imagine the boys club pressures that go on and certainly the "bad behaviors" is criminal. We would be better served getting dirty cops off the streets and making sure potential officers pass all of the obviously overlooked requirements. There is no way in hell some of these people could have passed a psych evaluation and there is no way anyone should be permitted to do that type of job without one! And if you were the school bully- good indicator you should choose another field of work!
Whewww- I could go on forever about abuses of power!!!
