Born and raised here. And I can't imagine being anywhere else. It can be crazy and everything is fast pace, but it's my home and I love it.
Fun facts, hmm.
Well you can walk around in whatever the hell you like to wear no matter how crazy and I can assure you that no one will bat an eye. And if they do it's because their tourist or not originally from here.
You can legit get any type of food that you want at pretty much anytime or day/night, holiday or weekends. And you can probably get it delivered to your door as well.
You can buy alcohol in a deli, cvs, Walgreens etc. did not realize that you can't do that everywhere until a few weeks ago lol so that was a pleasant surprise. Also pretty funny to have to go to a liquor store to buy wine coolers.
Any kind of music you like, I can assure you, your favorite band will have NYC on their tour. And there's a bunch of awesome venues to see up and coming artist as well.
Most native New Yorkers don't drive. I don't know how to drive. The public transportation is super efficient that you don't need to drive and it's a waste of money to have a car. But that being said it's definitely smart to know how to drive which I'm working on lol
There's always something to do. Rain nor shine. Amazing events, museums, indoor/outdoor activities. At anytime of day.
It's so hard to write about fun facts because this city is legit straight up fun. I love my home and I hope everyone who visits loves it as well.
