Nothing like the sounds in the morning of Throbbing Gristle's 'Hamburger Lady' to help you get some spring in your step! I was listening to the song and inserting my contact lenses at the same time, and nearly poked my eye during that really growly part...guhhhhhhhh, uhhhhhhh, whhhhhrrrrrrr...you know what I mean, and if you don't, well, too bad.
As I left and went out to the brightness of the day, I shivered. It wasn't that I was exactly cold, cold is NOT Los Angeles, it's the Midwest and other places, but it has been brisk for this time of year, and rainy too.
Walking to my car, I pretended that I was stepping onto a concrete runway, and that the plants, trees, and flowers were somehow my adoring audience. I'm silly.
My mouth opened involuntarily, and my teeth felt pangs of cold. It felt as if ice cubes were being crushed against them, without my consent. If you blindly lick a snowcone, sometimes the ice slips, and you know that even though it will be painful, you're going to try to save face anyway so the ice and syrup do not dribble down your chin.
Ok, so I kept walking, and stopped in my hurry, as there were styrofoam peanuts strewn across the lawn, underneath a couple of palm trees. It seemed somehow fitting, as this part of Los Angeles County will never ever see snow. I knelt down to pick up a peanut, pretending that I was in my own winter wonderland. Concrete snow. Urban artificial landscape. I threw it up in the air, and I'm sure it was much to the amusement of the rushing passerbys. They might not ever appreciate a styrofoam peanut in such a manner, but I had a lovely moment before I went to my car.
How has your day been and what are your plans for the weekend?

this weekend, i am hoping to have sexy results...
I think those 2 dudes in the car in the Windowlicker vid are English. The one who keeps saying "I don't give a fuck Homes!" has no idea what he's doing and the other one is tripping over the same lines over-and-over. Still a fantastic vid though.
Have you seen the warpvision site? Did you ever get a copy?
Be good.
an edit: Just to say Throbbing Gristle's 'Hot on the Heals of Love' is one of my all-time faves.
