Thanks to all who commented in my last journal. 
Hopefully you had a safe and fun past few days. I'm gearing up for the new year, and am going to hang with some old friends, with a designated driver.
And this weather we are having! Oh my! It reminds me of Minnesota, which is good, but almost no one can drive here, which is not good. There was an accident on the freeway the likes of which I had never seen before. (There were 160 accidents in the past few days, by the way.) There was a big SUV on its side with the roof partially caved in, and this is what I can surmise...
The car lost control, perhaps as a result of the rain and the cars around it. It appeared as if it had flipped and THEN landed upside down ON the median, and THEN slid for quite awhile. I think there was a fatality involved.
Um, be careful out there, people. Seriously.
So what else happened in my silly world in the past few days? Oh, presents, that stuff.
Well, here's what I received:
- One cinnamon candle.
- Reese's peanut butter cup LIP BALM. Yeah.
- A little palm-sized notebook that was hand made by a 14-year-old Tibetan boy.
- A super duper swanky $$$ makeup kit from Smashbox cosmetics.
- A lovely and wonderful pink pleather sexy wallet with a Shag-esque kitty on it. Yay!
- A wonderful vintage 70's double breasted LEATHER peacoat in a very smashing RED.
Did you know that I actually commented in all of my friends' journals? It took me about 3 hours, give or take, with several pauses and interruptions.
What are your plans for new year's eve?
