GODDAMNIT I hate when I fucking lose journal entries.
So let's try this again....
I'm going to be 30 in less than a month. How am I supposed to think and feel?
Truth be known, I feel old, but only here, as some of you were single digits (!) when I was going to raves and sneaking into Christian Death concerts.
I found myself thinking recently something along the lines of "when I was your age"....and I nearly shat myself, as I've spent most of my lifetime trying to disregard and put behind me everything that was said by my elders.
However, I should have listened to one thing, and that's, "Your eyebrows do NOT grow back." Heh. I wish it would have been something more substantial, but hey, at least I found something. And I also found my first gray hair 2 weeks ago, but I've already mentioned that in another journal entry.
Not too long ago, I'd have been considered a washed up old maid, being unmarried, and sans parasites, I mean, offspring. No offense to anyone who has happily procreated, but I have way too much to learn and accomplish in my own life that I cannot even conceptualize being pregnant.
Sometimes I think that I imagine that I had two days off in a row. Weekends just fly by.
On Saturday, I was eating at Poquito Mas. Everything was a-ok, until I looked up and saw my old roommate walking toward me. Ugh. Luckily I was wearing my brown fuzzy hat, which I adjusted and tipped down until he walked past. I realized that he probably wouldn't have recognized me anyway, sans hair and piercing added.
Fuck ignorance and being uncouth. Sparing details, he threw away our 18+ year friendship by being petty, asinine, and generally despicable. He also sent me a wedding invitation less than 2 months after screwing me over for the last time. Too funny. I later heard through close channels that he kept asking where I was at his wedding reception. He probably would have been clueless even if I had walked up to him and punched him in teh face.
No bother, although I did have a strange feeling as he walked past. I wasn't quite sure what to do, as he was one of the last people I'd expected to harsh my mellow at dinner. Vague pleasantries woudn't have sufficed, nor would aggressive hostility. I just decided to disregard the entire incident, and carry on my merry way, as I have been doing.
When was the last time you experienced something like this? Bumping into someone you would rather have not? How did you feel?

As for seeing someone I wish I hadn't, I honestly can't remember.
