So yeah. The holidays are ALMOST over, and I can't wait for the world to breathe a collective sigh of relief after the New Year.
So this is what I witnessed on Xmas Eve, 5 or 6 shots going off in the church parking lot across the street. Fell a victim, at least one person lay limp, bleeding, and dead. Ugh. I tried to block the image out of my head, and partially succeeded. Then I realised that I would be no better than the person(s) responsible if I pretended that it didn't happen, and instead, pondered what the final thoughts were of the guy that was shot. Point blank. The world still makes me sick.
The Christmas holiday was spent housesitting my (soon to be former) boss' digs and babysitting his regal feline. I luvs the kitties.
Upon returning home, however, I was deeply saddened to find out more bad news. My landlady passed away on Christmas Day
She was 90 something, and we shared a birthday. She lived a long and glorious life, and I'm glad that I was invited to pay my final respects next Friday.
End bad news.
Grayblue is coming in a couple of days, all the way from Indiana via San Diego. This calls for a massive celebration of yayness. Yay, yay, yay.
