This is me popping my Suicide Girls blog cherry, be gentle with me please! So, I just had the most rad time tonight! I saw the Reverend Horton Heat!!!! So what you may say, well it was special for me because he played in my little podunk town of Altoona, Pennsylvania. A local band opened(Railroad City Murder Machine), then the band Continental came on next. Continental, for those who don't know, is fronted by former Dropkick Murphys guitarist Rick Barton. His son, Stephen happens to play bass, they were really good! Then it was time to be "saved" by the Reverend!! This was only my second time ever seeing them, the first was at Warped Tour in the early 90's in Pittsburgh. I'm still in shock that he played my little shit hole town, and even more star struck when I 1, got a set list from Jimbo and 2, got all of them to sign it! Super, super nice guys! I hope they lose their way back to Altoona, Pa again very, very soon! I was also very fortunate to have the opportunity to take my "Big Boy" camera and take photos of the bands. Some national acts have it in their riders that no pro photography equipment is allowed. So armed with my D90, 50mm lens and my iPhone I used up an entire 16gb sd card(shooting RAW of course) most of the space taken up was video though. I took all of these photos that are uploaded here with my iPhone. Thanks everyone for checking my first ever blog out! I guess that wasn't too terribly painful!
