god, i can't wait to graduate this may. i'm so sick of all the people here. i knew that UWO was supposed to be a snobby university full of rich bitches, but fucken helllll, i didn't know it'd be like this. all the girls here are just clones of each other, showing up for class with hair and makeup perfectly done, way too much perfume, $100 shirts and $300 jackets. FOR CLASS. this place is way too self-obsessed. the guys aren't much better either. i used to think that higher education was supposed to teach you how to have an open mind, how to think differently and for yourself. instead, i just see cookie-cutter people everywhere, looking to gratify themselves by sucking the life from everybody else. like leeches. and it's not just here, i know, it's everywhere in the world. it sucks. i'm not saying it's wrong to want to look good. i think a little vanity is a good thing, because a person should take care of him/herself, but there's such a thing as taking it WAYYYYY too far.

today, for instance, in my sociology class on advertising in society, the prof was demonstrating how models are airbrushed for magazines or whatever. now, the girl was pretty and in great shape in the 'before' picture, and he'd roll over the picture with a mouse to change it to the 'after' picture. she was totally changed and packaged, which is not a surprise. the surprise was that the girls in the class (it was a big class) were going "eewwwww" when it showed the 'before' pictures. they were ewwwing things like slight bags under her eyes, an "ugly" bellybutton, eyebrows that weren't perfectly plucked. it was pretty pathetic. so what if the 'after' picture looks better? it's fucking FAKE. YOU ARE FAKE YOU DUMBASSES.

but i digress.

i'm going to need more beer...
