greetings from hangoverville. Here’s some questions for you guys:
1-can you name three or more living artists off the top of your head?
commercial artists, designers, architects, cartoonists, ect… don’t count unless it‘s something that would be shown in an art gallery or museum. I’m looking for what fits into the “fine arts” category whatever that term means to you.
I’m asking this for a school assignment so your response on this one will be appreciated.
Also if you cant name three that’s fine just say no
2-Why can nobody ever laugh on the subway? [I guess this only applies to those of you in New York].
The other day I was waiting on the platform for the train and listening to one of the bootleg cd/dvd venders sales pitch. you know… the never ending monotone mantra that goes something like:
Cd…DVD…Cd
Ten dollar ten dollar
Cd…Cd
Then this guy made a really loud comment about how the lady next to him looked like Tina Turner. Admittedly it wasn’t at all funny, but for some reason everyone on the platform started bursting out laughing.
At that moment the train pulled into the station, and all the people on it saw what was going on. They stared at us with this look that seemed to say “what the fuck are you doing, have you not heard the no laughing on the A-train rule.”
everyone just immediately went back to their normal New York game faces and to my knowledge nobody spoke a word about the “moment” they just shared.
3-do you have a favorite color or color combination? If so, can you explain why?
recently I’ve been using a lot of red-orange in my artwork so I guess that’s what mine would be at the moment. I don’t think I’d be able to clearly articulate a reason why though.
4-do you think that my world civilizations teacher might actualy be the devil or just smoking the crack rock?
I just bought the course pack which consists of $53 worth of photo copies that I have to read. That’s a stack of double sided papers which is thicker than 4 Brooklyn phone books by the way.
