Went shopping for the month of august; have enough sundry food for a few weeks at least, now, plus some wine and beer. Always pleasant.

Like a scaffold of food: Buy herbs and spices, things that will keep, then as the month progresses, pick up only what I'll cook to eat for the next few days (as left overs).
