A good mate of mine was playing a preseason friendly against an Arsenal XI. We weren't stupid, we didnt expect the superstars but we did hope to see a few fringe players and exciting prospects. What we saw were 14 or so kids and trialists that might as well have been dragged off the street and given team shirts.
It was raining, burgers were expensive and rubbery, tea was pish, people were orange, kids were tagged and under behaviour orders
To top it all our mate spent the first 65 minutes gently heating the bench.
